Coaching Career (1979-2023)

Baseball: Assistant Varsity Coach for 40 of Pat O’Keefe’s 51 years as head coach (‘79-’19) and Head Varsity Coach for 3 years (‘20-’23). Michigan Baseball Assistant Coach of the Year in 1992 & Bob Gross Award in 2010 for outstanding baseball contributions and achievement. Overall Varsity record / championships during Coach Rademacher’s time coaching: 1256 wins, 30 CAC/CAAC titles, 26 Diamond Classic Titles, 22 District Titles, 10 Regional Titles, 6 Final Fours, 2 State Runner-Ups, 1 State Title. 

Football: 42 years of coaching GL Football (1981-2021, 2024). Varsity Assistant 15 seasons (1981-1984, 1993, 2001-2005, 2013-2016, 2024). JV Head Coach 21 seasons (1985-1992, 1994-2000, 2006-2011). Freshman Head Coach 3 seasons (2012, 2017-2018). JV Assistant Coach 3 seasons (2019-2021). Only coach EVER to coach with 5 Varsity Head Coaches, spanning 4 decades: Coach Barrett, Coach Krupa, Coach O’Keefe, Coach Bird, and Coach Brya. A feat which anyone would be hard pressed to find replicated before, during, or after Coach Rademacher’s time coaching. GL JV Football team went 190-18-3 from 1989-2012 with Coach Rademacher coaching as the Head Coach for 21 of those 24 seasons. From 1996-2000 the JVs won 39 straight games, including four straight undefeated seasons under Coach Rademacher. The entire decade of the 90s the JV team only lost 3 total games under Coach Rademacher for 9 of those 10 seasons. Coach Rademacher was awarded the Michigan Assistant Football Coach of the Year in 2013 by the MHSFCA. Overall Varsity record / championships during Coach Rademacher’s time coaching: 267 wins, 13 CAC/CAAC Titles, 21 Playoff Appearances, 6 District Titles, 2 Regional Titles, 2 Final Fours, 1 State Title.
