Softball: LSJ Coach of the Year 1977 & 1979. 8 Conference Titles, 4 Class A District Titles, 1979 Regional Title (only one in school history) ending in a Class A State Runner-Up finish. After joining CAC in 1977, won 39 straight league games, & 3 straight district titles. Won 5 straight conference titles from 1974-1978. 172-41 career record as Softball Varsity Head Coach.

Linda was a 1958 graduate of DeWitt High School. She went on to Michigan State University earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. She began her teaching career in Stanton, MI as a Physical Education teacher for 5 years, and then in Grand Ledge, MI. For the next 28 years, Linda was a pioneer for girls' sports, implementing girls' softball and girls' basketball in Grand Ledge High School where there had been none. She coached both from 1973 to 1983 and captured 5 Capital Area Conference and 3 West Central Conference Championships in softball. She led the softball team to their only Regional Championship as well as a Class A State Runner-Up finish in 1979. She also played a dominant role in starting up the first Softball Classic which is still being played at Ranney Park in Frandor. She retired after her 33 year teaching and coaching career in 1995.
