Obituary: Ronald E. Hough Grand Ledge Ronald E. Hough, age 83, passed away September 28, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 9, 1926 in Eaton County, MI, son of Ray and Nona (Merrill) Hough. Living most of his life in Oneida Township, he enjoyed farming; was a retired foreman from Grand Ledge Clay Products and Witt Sod Farms. He was a 1944 graduate of Grand Ledge High School; participated and supported the sports programs and was proud of his induction into the Grand Ledge Sports Hall of Fame. Ron was a WWII Veteran; a lifetime VFW member of the Grand Ledge Post 3293, and a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. His hobbies included fishing, camping and pen collecting. His wife of 57 years, Margaret, preceded him in death as did siblings, Merrill and Roger Hough and sister, Margaret Decke. Survivors include his 4 children: daughter, Sandra (Sandy) Sipes of Potterville, Gary of Crystal Falls U.P., Steve (Cheryl) of Mulliken and Ron (Dora) of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren: Stacy Sipes and Jenna Kay; Khara (Chad) Julien, Chasity (Jeremy) Nicole, Jacob and Zack Dawson; Chad (Sherrie), Alexis and Avery Hough, Curt Hough, PFC Ronald T. (Amanda) Faith, Austin, Hunter & Ruby Mae Hough; Gary (Ashley) and Brody Hough; sisters-in-law, Carmen Hough of Grand Ledge and Phyllis Jackson of CA; mother-in-law, Eva Childs of East Lansing; special friends, Bob and Vick Worthy of Grand ledge, Theresa Hough of Battle Creek and several nieces and nephews.
